How do I return an item?
EXCHANGE OR RETURN AUTHORIZATION
If you would like to exchange or return an eligible item purchased in the last 30 days, you will need to request a Return Authorization (RA) number. Please contact us at info@BoxwoodInteriors.com and be sure to include your order number, the item description, if you would like it to be returned or replaced and be sure to include a reason for the return or exchange.
After submitting your return request, we will review the information and forward on via email an RA number and instructions for returning the item if it is qualified for the return or exchange.
ELIGIBLE ITEMS FOR RETURN
Items must be returned in their original packaging in unused condition. Soiled/used items will be refused and returned to you at your expense. Returns on any eligible items including eligible rugs, mirrors, lamps, chandeliers, sconces, shades, furniture that are not defective will incur a 25-30% restocking fee. Refunds are issued in the original payment form and price, less shipping and handling, re-stocking fees, credit card fees, gift-wrap and return shipping charges. Standard shipping charges will apply for all "free shipped" non-defective items.
NON-ELIGIBLE ITEMS FOR RETURN
All Furniture, lighting, mirrors, jewelry, fabric, wallpaper, custom made to order items, personalized and monogrammed pieces are not eligible for return or exchange.

Select brands including but not limited to the following are not returnable and are considered a Final Sale: Beeline by Bunny Williams, Bungalow 5, Barbara Barry, Noir Trading, Oly Studio, Shine by S.H.O., Global Views, Worlds Away, Oomph, Boxwood Interiors Exclusives (furniture and custom pieces).
Final sale items are not eligible for return or exchange. Standard shipping rates apply to all Final Sale items.
We have a special return policy for items bought during the holidays. For items purchased from November 1st through December 25th of a given calendar year, the return/exchange date is extended out to January 31st of the following calendar year. Please note that the holiday return policy refers to in-stock items ONLY and all the policies above still apply. All furniture, lighting, home accessories including mirrors, custom items, bedding, personalized items and Maura Daniel items are excluded from the holiday return policy as these items are final sale.
FURNITURE, BEDDING, LIGHTING, PERSONALIZED AND CUSTOM ITEMS
Because many of these items are made to order, all furniture, lighting, home accessories (mirrors, pillows, vases, etc) and custom items are not returnable and not refundable.
Please note the following companies/manufacturers (but not limited to) consider ALL orders to be custom and are considered final sale by the companies/manufacturers: Beeline by Bunny Williams, Bungalow 5, Barbara Barry, Noir Trading, Oly Studio, Oomph, Shine by SHO, Worlds Away, Global Views, Boxwood Exclusives. Upon delivery, please take time to inspect all freight shipped furniture items carefully for any damage that may have occurred in transit and contact us IMMEDIATELY. Claims against damaged items must be made within 2 business days. Unfortunately, claims made after the 2 business day window will not be accepted and are unable to be returned, also please refer to the information in the following paragraphs. Please refer to our vendor warranties for specific information on individual policies.
If for any reason your custom furniture piece does not arrive with the specifications that you selected when ordering, Boxwood Home & Interiors reserves the right to have the item or items replaced and reshipped at no additional charge to you. You should contact us immediately if this occurs so that we can get the replacement in the works as soon as possible. Boxwood Home & Interiors does everything possible to assure a smooth and prompt delivery of your furniture and custom items. However, be aware and consider that there are circumstances out of our control that may arise and result in a delay in the production or delivery of your items. We do our best to give accurate lead times for each furniture manufacturer but estimated lead times are not a guarantee of a specific delivery date. We welcome your inquiries as the estimated delivery time approaches and we can follow up to give you a more specific idea of your ship date at that time. Also note that shipping time for freight items (this includes, furniture and some rugs) is APPROXIMATELY 7-15 business days from the time that the item(s) are scheduled for pickup from our manufacturer. We act as your liaison to best assist you in a prompt delivery but again, there are variables that are out of our control as we are considered a third party. We know you'll enjoy the product that is made especially for you!
RETURNING OR EXCHANGING "FREE SHIPPING" ITEMS
Several of our product lines feature free shipping. If for any reason you need to return an item with free shipping, the refund you receive will be for the item price minus the standard shipping cost. Standard shipping costs are based on item prices as outlined within our shipping information. If you opt to exchange your free shipping purchase for another item that also had free shipping, a standard shipping charge will be added to cover our costs. The only exception to this policy is if an item received is defective, in which case it will be replaced with no additional shipping fees. If exchanging a free shipping item for a standard shipping product, you will be charged our regular shipping cost.
WHEN DAMAGES OCCUR DURING FREIGHT DELIVERY
While we do our utmost to ensure your items arrive in a timely manner and in perfect condition, there are some things that are beyond our control. We would love to be able to say that damage never occurs during transit, but unfortunately that is not always the case. Our freight carriers handle your pieces with great care but it is important to understand that from time to time damages do occur. If your piece arrives damaged, the freight company has the right to have the piece repaired and brought back to the manufacturer's standards at their expense. They do this by sending the piece to a furniture medic or back to the manufacturer for repair. If the freight carrier determines the piece can not be repaired, you have the right to be reimbursed for your purchase or have another piece rushed at no additional charge and shipped out to you as soon as possible. Although our suppliers take great care in packaging their goods for shipping, damages may occur in transit. Furniture items must be carefully inspected BEFORE you sign for the delivery. If the furniture happens to arrive with any defects DO NOT sign for the items. Contact us immediately while the trucking company is there so that we may discuss the best way to handle the situation. If you are not able to get in contact with us, please either refuse the delivery or note the damages and status (if possible take photographs) of the packaging materials on the bill of lading before signing for the delivery. Boxwood Home & Interiors will be unable to assist you in the replacement of damaged goods or reimbursement if the above procedures are not followed.
